Deborah Price previously served as the Chief Development Officer for the National Campaign to Stop Violence (NCSV), a non-profit organization whose mission is to reduce violence and its impacts in the lives of youth. There her focus was on strategic program development and partnerships.

Prior to NCSV she spent eight years at the U.S. Department of Education where she was appointed the Assistant Deputy Secretary for the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools. There she was responsible for the Department’s activities related to safe schools, crisis response, alcohol and drug prevention, the health and well-being of students, and building strong character and citizenship. She also led the Department’s homeland security efforts.

Prior to being at the Department of Education she spent sixteen years as a senior staff person in the U.S. Senate, serving for the Assistant Majority Leader Don Nickles from Oklahoma and Senator Bill Armstrong of Colorado. There she focused on a broad range of issues including education policy.

Prior to moving to the Washington, DC area Deborah spent 11 years in Aspen, Colorado. By moving to DC she traded mountains for monuments.

Deborah is a graduate of the University of Missouri, Columbia.
